G.R.C. POTS AND PLANTERS

GRC (Glass Fibre Reinforced Concrete) is an extremely versatile material for planter manufacture as it’s lightweight, strong, weatherproof and mouldable to any design.

GRC consists of high strength glass fibre bundles in a 50/50 sand and cement mix. This construction process makes the planters robust yet lighter than terrazzo or terracotta pots and planters.

Our GRC planters are completely frost resistant and all colours are added during the forming process to ensure a high quality and attractive finished product. All GRC pots and planters are available in a variety of stunning colours and finishes, combined with distinct and attractive shapes.

The Advantages and Benefits of GRC

  • The aesthetic of GRC is more naturalistic than GRP (Glass Reinforced Plastic), especially when the material is colour tinted rather than the exterior paint finished

  • GRC is a much stronger material and is favoured for large and more structural mouldings

  • GRC has greater density and impact resistance, so it’s perfect for use in public realm

  • GRC is fire resistant and does not burn or emit smoke when exposed to fire, which is a statutory requirement

GRC flower pots and planters will look great in any home or garden setting. The sophisticated bespoke designs suit the clean lines of contemporary architecture and planting. Made from glass fibre reinforced concrete, it has a similar density to concrete products but are much lighter due to the thinner material used. The strengthening fibres help to ensure that the pot is robust enough for garden use.
